The total storage capacity 2,768,000 acre feet. (One acre foot equals one acre of water one foot deep).

The hills that surround the lake range up to 1,350'.

The COE area covers 82,000 acres.

Lake Ouachita is the source of raw water for North Garland County Water District, which serves the North Shores Resort and Marina and surrounding area.

Lake Ouachita is the 2nd largest lake in Arkansas, and the largest lake contained totally within the State of Arkansas.

The largest lake, Bull Shoals Lake, is shared with Missouri.
